The Pirate Spider is 1/5 inches long. It lives in South America. It eats lizards and mantids and small insects. Pirate spiders like to pin their prey down with its long spiny legs that also has claws. They have 2 big false spots to scare their prey and make the Pirate spider look stronger and bigger. Pirate spiders make webs instead of hunting on the leafy floors. I Found this research watching the Bug Wars video

Hi Coen I really liked your post because I’d like to hear about bug fights with dangerous bugs/insects.I wish you could do some more bug fights.I wonder if you have ever experienced anything like this.

Dear Tanatham,
I have experienced a bug war with my friend Jared. We like to catch bugs and put it on to spider webs and the spiders come to eat it up biting it while it is paralyzing the victim.
Sincerely,
Coen

Dear Coen,
I haven’t had a chance to watch your video yet but I do know how you love the bug world. It’s been fun watching you research a different bug every day. What bug will come next?
Happy researching,
Mrs. Fordyce

Dear Coen,
When I read your post I learned a lot. I did not even know that Pirate Spiders even existed. I was really afraid when I watched the video. I thought that the Pirate Spider was going to win. I guess I am wrong. I didn’t know that Pirate Spiders can eat lizards and mantids. Do you like Pirate Spiders or Scorpions more?
From,
Bianca
