The Bobtail Squid
Hi,
This is Coen and this is some research about the Bobtail squid. The Bobtail squid is a really small creature. Its length is 2.54 cm (1″) just think about it how small it is. It is about the size of a Snickers mini. The squid also has a symbiotic relationship with bacteria known as Vibrio Fischeri. A symbiotic relationship is means both things help each other. For example a crab and a sea urchin have a symbiotic relationship. The crab helps the sea urchin move around. The sea urchin protects the crab from predators. Cause who wants to end up with a sea urchin pricking your mouth? The Bobtail squids bacteria help the squid camouflage itself. It can look like sand, moonlight and look poisonous.

Wow, I really enjoy reading your article. It is not only fun to know this cute little creature, bobtail squid is so small but also it has a special relation ship with Vibrio fishcheri bacteria. That means this bacteria live with the bobtail squid and the bacteria can help the squid change it’s body color to achieve camouflage and protect it from attacking predators. Cool, it sure nice to know! Thank you Coen for your information!
