The velvet worm is a deadly creature. It spits gooey threads to capture its prey and turns the prey into a smoothie and drinks it up. Velvet worms can grow up to 4 inches long. It can also eat the same size of how long the velvet worm is. It eats birds and lizards and other small mammals. It has piercing mouth-parts like cutting blades of a knife. It has 2 barrels that hold the gooey threads.

Wow, Coen, I have never heard of the Velvet Worm but it sounds fascinating. Where do they live? They can really eat small mammals??? That’s amazing. Thank you for sharing!

My mom didn’t finish the video. She got 1:54 seconds in. But personally I love you’re post! I did not know about the Velvet worm.

Dear Coen,
This IS a great post. You are teaching me so much about the Velvet Worm. From your video, I’m learning so much about this worm that looks harmless but is so ferocious. Great post Coen!
