The cellar spider has long legs to keep prey arm length. Their fangs are small but packs lots of venom! When it seeks a prey it swirls on its legs or pumps its legs to turn invisible. Cellar spider silk is not strong nor sticky but it has lots of it. The females are 7 to 8 millimeters and the males are 6 millimeters. Its full name is Pholcus phalangioides meaning cellar spider.

Great work, Coen. This is a really cool clip. I’m glad you added interesting information after the video. Don’t forget to add proper attribution, which means–give credit to the owner of the video. In this case, you could simply say, “Video credit: Monster Bug Wars” and you could also give a link to their Youtube channel. No one will accuse you of stealing and interested people can click on your helpful link to watch more bug videos.

Dear Coen,
It’s always so much fun to see your posts on your bugs! You truly love exploring the bug world. I think you could edit your posts really easily to give credit to the owner of the video. Why don’t you try that with all the videos you’ve posted? I’ll check back to see how that worked for you.
Happy editing,
Mrs. Fordyce

Dear Coen,
That sounds scary. I’m scared of spiders but spiders have much more to them then I know it. They help us because they keep away and eat flies. It’s kinda funny because I just had an incident with a fly annoying me. He kept buzzing and buzzing and climbing up the windows and flying around. But the thing is, he wouldn’t quit it. I finally got over it and decided to post on your blog. just after it started raining and thanked myself that the fly was no longer on the windowsill. I’m glad that I was able to post on your blog. I still don’t like flies nor spiders but sometimes I think to myself how thankful I am for spiders and other insects that help us live.
